Fourteen Track & Field Athletes Advance to Section Meet!
Boys Team Finishes Second!!!
The track team had a successful day at the Sub-Section meet on Thursday, May 25 at Walker.
The boys teams finished in second place out of eight teams, trailing only Park Rapids in the team standings.
In individual events the top four finishers advance and in relays the top two teams advance.
Fourteen Bears advanced in twenty-one events.
Several highlights included Ethan Dorman winning 3 individual events and anchoring the winning 4 x 200 relay! Also, the Bears swept the top 3 spots in the Shot with Nathanael Dahl, Judah Bennett and Levi Nelson going 1, 2, 3!!
Boys advancing are:
4 x 200 relay: First Place: Damen Bakke, Jared Hubbard, Josiah Hubbard, Ethan Dorman
Nathanael Dahl: First Place: Shot Put, Fourth Place: Discus
Judah Bennett: Second Place: Discus
Jerad Hubbard: Second Place: Long Jump, Third Place: 400
Josiah Hubbard: Second Place: High Jump
Ethan Dorman: First Place: High Jump, Triple Jump, 200 meters
Damen Bakke: Second Place: 100
Jonny Hamnes: Third Place: 100
Hunter Ehlers: Third Place: Long Jump, Fourth Place: Triple Jump
Levi Nelson: Third Place: Shot Put
Girls Advancing are:
Jenny Lavin: First Place: 200, 400
Jackielynn Taflin: Second Place: 800
Arabella Corey: Third Place: 100
Alexie Molden: Fourth: High Jump
Danae Stenzel: Fifth Place (advances as a wild card): Shot
The girls team (with only 7 competitors) finished in 6th place trailing 3rd place by only 7 points.
