Dear Family of Clearbrook-Gonvick School:  We are having a fundraiser at school for the Risland family. It will be a competition between Elementary vs High School vs Staff and the winner gets to pie two staff members (teacher/para/specialist/administration) two pies per grade. Green pails with white covers and pictures of the Risland boys are on the outside of pail. Elementary pail will be in Mrs.Faldet's room, high school will be in the commons before school and during lunch and staff will be in the office.  Clean the car, clean the couch, empty pockets before laundering, look on the floor, maybe do an extra chore and get paid, or ask for donations from family, neighbors or businesses.  The pieing will be Friday, May 18 at about 3pm at an assembly and we will collect money through Thursday, May 17th.  Make checks out to "Sara Staley Benefit Fund.".  Any questions call the DCD room at extension 403.

Thank you to everyone in our community and beyond for your expressions of concern, prayers, offers of help and more for the Risland family and the Clearbrook-Gonvick students and staff after the tragic accident that took place over Easter.  A very special thank you to the wonderful folks involved in the Project Linus program for the donation of 246 quilts to our elementary students.  Every student received a blanket.  What a wonderful gesture of love!  Our students will treasure these gifts!  Blankets came from the following communities:  Bagley, Bemidji, Blackduck, Hawley, Puposky, Thief River Falls, Walker.

Sub-Section 8A East Girls Basketball Champions!
Congratulations also to Mr. Ostrom for being named the Section 8A Assistant Coach of the Year for girls basketball! Well deserved!

Congratulations to the Girls Basketball Team for earning the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association "Silver Award" for team academic excellence.  The team had a 3.62 average GPA.
