Coach Steve Philion, was inducted into the MN Boys Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame last November. Former players, students and colleagues are planning a brief recognition for Coach Philion on Friday, February 24th, at the home game where the CG Bears host his RLC Rebels. The VEX Robotics Competition was held at St. Cloud River's Edge Convention Center the first weekend in February. Teams competed for the world-qualifying event. Senior basketball player Liz Bodensteiner continued her amazing week by picking up the 1,000th rebound of her career. It came at a home game with Red Lake County Central on Thursday, February 9. Liz needed five rebounds entering the game and finished with ten, hitting the 1,000 mark shortly before halftime. Haley McCoy wins Clearbrook-Gonvick Spelling Bee A district-wide spelling bee was held at Clearbrook-Gonvick School for grades 5-8 on Friday, January 20. Kendehl Ballard, Elizabeth Bodensteiner, and Jeanette Ballard were invited to participate in BSU's 2017 Honor Band.
