Lavin, Taflin, Dorman Set/Tie Track Records
Thursday, May 3 was a great day to compete at Mahnomen and our track athletes made use of the good weather! Freshman Jenni Lavin broke her own school record in the 400. She clocked 1:00.31. Her previous record was set last year at 1:01.37. Sophomore Jackielynn Taflin reset her own two year old record in the 800 by running 2:30.76. Her previous record was 2:30.77. Junior Ethan Dorman tied one of the older records on the books by leaping 6’ 4” in the high jump. He ties the record held by Bryan Westrum set in 1991. Congratulations!! GO BEARS!!
